Help Brad Simon In His Fight With Cancer

Donation protected
Hi Everyone,

We’re reaching out on behalf of our parents, Brad and Judy Simon, as our family navigates one of the greatest challenges of our lives.

Brad was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Enteropathy-Associated T-Cell Lymphoma (EATL). It began in his digestive system, stemming from long-standing complications with Celiac disease. In Brad’s case, the cancer has spread to his brain stem, impacting his central nervous system, a development so rare that only a small handful of similar cases have ever been documented. This spread has significantly affected his mobility and vision.

He recently completed radiation therapy and his first round of chemotherapy, and we’re hopeful he’ll be returning home soon. From there, he’ll begin physical and occupational therapy to help rebuild strength and regain function. We’re working to access every available home health service and support program, but even with those resources, Judy will carry the bulk of day-to-day caregiving.

Brad’s condition is very serious, and his prognosis remains uncertain. For most in his situation, it is considered terminal. But we’re not giving up hope. We’re continuing to explore all available options, take things one day at a time, and place our trust in God.

For those who know Brad, you know he’s one of the most genuinely good men you’ll ever meet. He’s kind to everyone, makes people laugh, and brightens every room he enters. We are learning the memorable impact he makes on most people he meets. Even now, while facing physical setbacks and constant discomfort, he continues to lift others up with his humor, kindness, and tenderness.

And our mom, Judy, has always been a consistent force of love and service. She’s the one preparing meals, opening her home, helping with grandkids, or quietly supporting someone in need. She’s never been one to ask for help. But right now, we just want her to be fully present with Brad, to support him through whatever lies ahead, without the added weight of financial stress.

Brad will not be able to return to work, and Judy is on a leave of absence from her job until further notice. While insurance is helping cover most medical expenses, they still face out-of-pocket deductibles and ongoing basic living costs, like rent, groceries, utilities, and transportation.

We’re hoping to raise enough to support them over the coming months, to give them the space to focus fully on treatment, healing, or if needed, end-of-life care, surrounded by love and stability.

We’ve already seen so much love poured out from friends, coworkers, and extended family. People have sent DoorDash gift cards, donated PTO hours, and offered every kind of support imaginable. Every act of kindness has made a real difference. We are deeply grateful.

If you’re able to donate, it would mean the world to us. And if not, simply sharing this message or lifting our parents in prayer would be a tremendous blessing.

Thank you for helping us surround Brad and Judy with the same compassion and strength they’ve given to so many throughout their lives.

With heartfelt thanks,
The Children of Brad and Judy Simon
