Help Brad and Vi recover from the floods!

Hi, my name is Sandy and I am raising funds for my dad and his wife in the aftermath of Cyclone Jasper.
Brad and Viola moved up to the natural beauty of the tropical rain forest over a decade ago, to a small town called Rossville, half an hour south of Cooktown in Far North Queensland. They have experienced a few major weather events since settling there, but nothing could have prepared them for the utter devastation that eventuated for them and the entire region.
When the storm first hit they had sent through a few shots of the water level approaching their house, which was not uncommon from other events, but that was the last I heard from them for days and the concern started to set in.
I had multiple people reaching out hoping that I had heard of or knew something about what was happening, but I was in the same uninformed position, hunting news reports for any information. Finally, three days later I got a call from dad saying, "Sandy, letting you know we are alive and safe. Can you please contact Mum and let her know, I don't have much charge" and that was it. I knew they were alive, which was such a huge relief, but I needed to wait to get the details of what happened. A week on and I finally got to have a conversation with dad and hear the harrowing tales, and see images and videos of the sheer destruction wrought by the flooding that had occurred.
As you can see the destruction is immense, and I have only told a fraction of the larger story from the events that unfolded. But one thing I do know from our own experiences after the 2020 bush fires is they have a long road to recovery ahead, physically, emotionally, and financially.
I am hoping that we can all pitch in for that last one to ease the stress just a little. They have some immediate needs to be addressed before they can consider getting back to their property; A new rain water tank for drinking, components for their energy system for powering fridges, tools and lights and replacing the vast majority of their household items that were destroyed. You get the idea, they pretty much lost it all so any amount we raise will help them to get back on their feet.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and thank you in advance if you are able to contribute.
Kind regards
