Help Boveda Rise Again After Devastating Kitchen Fire

Last night with a packed place, Boveda our beloved local Mexican restaurant suffered a devastating kitchen fire that has forced them to close their doors, at least for now. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the damage to the kitchen and parts of the restaurant is significant.

If you’ve ever eaten at Boveda, you know it’s more than just a place to grab a delicious taco or margarita. It’s a space that brings people together, a family-run gem filled with warmth, generosity, and flavour.

Whether you’ve celebrated a birthday here, shared laughs with friends, or just popped in for your regular fix of guac and margarita's, Boveda has been a part of our community’s heart and soul.

Now it’s our turn to give back.

The team is facing not only the cost of repairs and lost income but also the emotional weight of seeing their hard work and passion temporarily halted. Insurance will help with some of the costs, but it won’t be enough to cover everything and the goal is to get the doors back open as soon as possible.

We’re asking our community the people who love and support Boveda to chip in what they can. Every dollar helps with repairs, replacing equipment, supporting staff, and keeping the dream alive.
