Bourbon has been the bravest bunny, and now we need some help to keep helping him. We adopted him last July from New London Animal Control, where he and his brother were seized from a hoarding situation where bunnies were being bred for money and other things. Since bringing him home, he has been to the vet every 2-3 weeks consistently due to chronic respiratory issues. On 5/27, we got him an appointment at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, where he had a CT scan and other testing done. These chronic issues have led to destruction of the soft tissue and bones in his nasal cavities as well as impacted discharge that makes it hard for him to breathe. He is currently on a nebulizer twice a day, and he is going to need several surgeries to help address the problems for the longer term. He is going to continue needing periodic surgeries for the rest of his life.

We will not give up on him. He is brave, and sweet, and has been through so much. However, the vet bills are continuing to add up and specialty surgeries for exotic animals are incredibly expensive. Please consider helping us help Bourbon keep fighting the good fight.
