Help Boston Heal
Donation protected
Raena and her Cane Corso Boston have been inseparable from the day she rescued him as a puppy. He is a gentle giant, and anyone who has met him will tell you he is the sweetest boy around. At five years old, he has always been the best brother to Raena’s cat Miley and the dozens of fosters she has brought home.
Raena has always been super passionate about animal rescue; she volunteers locally and always has at least one foster dog at home, even while working multiple jobs. Her generosity and kindness have helped so many pups find their forever home, and now she is in need of a bit of help from us.
Last week Boston was brought to emerg in London and, after further assessment, was sent to the OVC HSC in Guelph, where he had emergency life-saving surgery. He is currently in recovery and fighting off pneumonia. On top of this, he is on medication to control his seizures which he was diagnosed with last year, adding another layer of complications to his treatment and recovery plan.
Raena and the veterinary team ensured Boston received the best care possible, but it has come at a very steep cost. With total costs totaling over $10,000, Raena still has to take unpaid time off of work to be with B through recovery. We would love to make her life a little bit easier, so we have started this GoFundMe to help get some support with Boston’s medical bills and get Raena back to fostering puppies again.
Please consider helping them out; there isn’t a dog mom out there more empathetic or deserving. With the holiday season coming up, we know it is not easy to donate, but any amount helps!
