Help Boss Groover’s Wife Ride To Doctors
Donation protected
For over the past 50 years, Ed Deutch, better known as The Boss Groover, has been entertaining thousands of people from ages five to 100 with great music at hundreds of weddings, national conferences, birthdays, anniversaries and too many other events to mention.
If you attended Ohio University in the 70’s and 80’s, you probably knew him as the owner of The Hole In The Wall Sub Shop on N. Court Street, home of the Best Buns in Athens, and as the host of the most listened to oldies show every week on WXTQ FM.
Since 1982 he’s been married to the driving force of his wife Goldie, whom he met in his sub shop!
in 1997 Goldie contracted a series of debilitating autoimmune diseases, which forced her into a life of bed rest and a wheelchair that she still needs to leave the bed.
COVID19 absolutely shut down the entertainment venues for ANY parties and forced me to cancel 35 events in 2021…
my entire income just disappeared!
Now Goldie’s physical condition has deteriorated to the point where she can’t even get into our only car to see her doctors, and that’s why I’m writing this. We need to get a handicap accessible van with a ramp for her, so she can start going to scheduled appointments at the Cleveland Clinic for surgery on her hip and both legs.
I don’t have the means to make this van a reality, so I am asking EVERYONE who was ever entertained, fed by or just wants to help do a good deed as a friend of mine to please pitch in a buck, five bucks or whatever you can afford to this GoFundMe, and help a woman who devoted her working life to helping Vietnam vets deal with their PTSD as the head of the VA’s psych ER and PTSD clinics in St. Louis.
There’s no funny stuff here…just an honest plea to help me help my wife become mobile again.
Thanks for checking this out, and for any help you can contribute.
Very sincerely,
Ed Deutch, Ohio ‘74… Still spinning the best tunes of your life!
