Help Bosko get a 2nd chance in life
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Stefan Sekulovski, I am a lifelong friend of Bosko and his family. Bosko Pavlovski is only 22 years old, currently living in Skopje, Macedonia.
Up until the age of 6, Bosko was a healthy, happy and active kid who practiced swimming and played football unstoppably.
At the age of 6 he experienced his first epileptic episode, which resulted in his formal diagnostic of focal, pharmaco-resistant epilepsy. His psychomotor activity and intellectual development have been monitored over the years and have shown normally activity; thus, his doctors cannot find any explanation for his epilepsy.
He has been battling with epilepsy for nearly 16 years now. He has spent endless nights in multiple hospitals in the region. All the doctors have agreed that the findings of the MRI are rare and unusual. His scans are showing lesion on the left temporal, and operculum and insula near the center of speech and motor skills. He has consulted multiple neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists and oncologists in different surgical centers in Europe.
His epileptic episodes are constant and without warning. They occur almost daily both while asleep and awake. Also, the medications he has been prescribed are causing side effects that have a negative impact on the quality of his life and for that reason, he must be accompanied at all times.
However, Bosko has never lost hope. Even though his episodes have been happening throughout most of his life, he has managed to successfully complete primary and secondary school with exceptional grades. He also went to music school and learned to play the piano. He is a fighter and his biggest wish is to cure epilepsy so he can get a chance at a new life. He is looking forward to taking a shower without any help, getting back to sports and exercise, walking his best friend Marli (Labrador), spending time with friends outside of home and studying at university.
His only hope is a surgical treatment in the Epilepsy Surgery Centre Claudio Munari in Milan, Italy. He has been placed on the waiting list for almost a year now. The hospital has sent the formal treatment invoice that I have attached on this page. On the invoice is stated the official diagnosis, necessary examinations, the surgical treatment, stay at the hospital for the period from 2 to 39 days, and the total amount for complete treatment (the original document in Italian and the translated copy in Macedonian). The exact date of his surgery is to be announced to Bosko toward the end of September, this year.
As his mum is unable to work due to her necessary presence in Bosko’s life, his family has been financially drained over the years and is unable to fully pay his treatment in Milan.
The national health system in Macedonia cannot finance his treatment as the country is not part of the European Union and thus cannot form an agreement between the countries. I am asking for your support with a donation to help Bosko get a second chance in life.
Thank you all for your help and generosity!!!
*all donations will be collected by Stefan Sekulovski and transferred directly to Bosko’s account in Macedonia.
