Help Boris and his papa beat IMHA
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ryan Dunn. That cute little baby boi I'm holding in that picture is my dog, Boris.
He is nine years old now, and has just been diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. IMHA is an autoimmune disease. Boris' immune system is destroying his red blood cells, leaving him very anemic and susceptible to other illnesses. This disease is treatable, but it can be fatal. Boris has already had one blood transfusion and is likely to need more.
I am reaching out to you for financial help with his battle. The last three years have been incredibly difficult for me in myriad ways. I have lost three jobs and while I am in a better place on that front, I was just starting to dig myself out of a very deep hole when Boris got sick. So far, I have spent $3500 between vet visits and medications. As it stands right now, my credit cards (including CareCredit) are nearly maxed out, I am behind on bills and have just enough to keep a roof over my head. I haven't been able to afford insurance for Boris outside of CareCredit. He has a follow-up appointment soon and will need to be on multiple medications for the next few months.
With your help, I will be able to get Boris the help that he needs. So far, he seems to be responding well to treatment and with further care, he should be able to get himself into remission.
Thank you so much for reading this. If you can help, it will mean so much to us. He is my baby and my best friend, and even though he is sick, he is still finding the energy to protect me while I take a shower. His love literally knows no bounds, not even bathroom privacy.
With love and gratitude,
Ryan and Boris.
