Our sweet Boots is facing the hardest moment of his life. The vet says his only hope now is a life‑saving PU surgery — otherwise we have to say goodbye. We’re shattered. Boots is family, and we refuse to give up on him. He deserves more mornings, more cuddles, more life. Please help us keep him here with us. Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery is a life-saving procedure for male cats with chronic, life-threatening urinary blockages, costing approximately $2k-3k .

Please help us save Boots

Caring for these cats is our life’s purpose. Boots and Charlie are part of a family of eight indoor cats who fill our home with love, and outside, nine colony cats depend on us for food, safety, and stability. We’ve always done everything we can to make sure each one of them feels safe, healthy, and loved. But these medical emergencies have pushed us to a place where we simply can’t do it alone.

Boots and Charlie are more than just brothers—they are two gentle, bright little souls who will be turning two years old this March. They came into our life together, and ever since, they’ve filled our home with warmth, mischief, and love. But this past year has been devastating, both Boots and Charlie experienced urinary blockages last year, which required urgent care and ongoing management . Both were diagnosed with FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis), a dangerous and unpredictable condition that threatens the lives of male cats. Watching them struggle through painful urinary blockages has been heartbreaking for my husband and I.

FIC is a stress‑sensitive condition that can flare suddenly and severely. When it does, it can cause:
• Intense pain and inflammation
• Difficulty urinating or complete blockage
• Crying, hiding, and extreme distress
• Emergency hospitalization
• Risk of kidney damage
• And in the worst cases, death if a blockage isn’t treated immediately.

I’m doing everything I can: prescription food, environmental enrichment, stress‑reduction, medications, and regular vet visits. But FIC is a long‑term condition, and the financial strain has become overwhelming. I’m terrified of not being able to afford the care they need the next time a flare hits — because with FIC, it’s not if, it’s when.

Your support will help us:
• Pay off the emergency hospital bills that saved Boots and Charlie
• Cover their ongoing medications and lifelong prescription food
• Prepare for future FIC flare‑ups and emergency care
• Maintain consistent food and basic care for our eight indoor cats
• Continue feeding and supporting our outdoor cats who rely on us daily

From the bottom of my heart, we thank you for reading their story. Thank you for caring. And thank you for any help you’re able to give. No matter the amount, your kindness makes a real difference for Boots, Charlie, and our entire little family.
