UPDATE: We reached our initial goal but the bill was a little more than we thought. We need just $55 more to cover it. We are still waiting on the results of the blood and fecal tests but for now, Boone is resting comfortably in a short term foster home with a wonderful shelter volunteer. Thanks again to everyone who helped get Boone the help he needed.

Boone is a super sweet, young boy who found himself at the west valley shelter (Los Angeles) through no fault of his own. Even worse, he has been put on the orange list (this is the list for dogs who need medical help) for weight loss and dental problems. Well, the volunteers are not going to let him die. Boone was taken to a vet today where he got a fecal exam and will be taken to a vet on tomorrow 10/29 for bloodwork and will stay overnight for a dental cleaning, and extractions if necessary. The volunteers are doing this themselves, so they need a little help. The bloodwork is $245 and the dental is anywhere from $515-$615 for cleaning and extractions. Any amount helps.

Some volunteers are working on a foster for him so that he doesn’t have to go back to the shelter after the procedure. Please comment if you’d like to give him a home. Regardless, the goal is to keep this lovely boy alive. Thank you!
