Help Boomhauer Walk Again

This is Boomhauer—affectionately known as Boom. He’s only 4 years old and has always been a joyful, goofy soul. Just recently, we lost his brother Mister to sudden kidney failure. I used the last of my savings trying to save Mister, and heartbreakingly, we had to help him cross the rainbow bridge.

Boom became my only dog baby. Then out of nowhere—he started acting off. First, he gave me a side-eye like he was trying to tell me something. The next day, he limped a little on his front paw. Then the unthinkable: I woke up to find both of his back legs paralyzed. He was panting hard, clearly in pain, and I was terrified.

With no funds left and panic setting in, I turned to Facebook. That’s when an angel named Crystal reached out. She’d been through something similar with her dog Kally. Without hesitation, she let me use her credit card to get Boomhauer emergency care.

Boom was peeing blood and in obvious distress. His X-rays looked okay, but his blood work was concerning—showing inflammation and high white blood cells. They said he needed to stay another day… and then another. Each time my heart sank, but I knew I had to keep fighting for him.

Thanks to Crystal’s generosity, Boom is still with me—but now I need help paying her back. The bill is $3,000, and I’m also covering his follow-up care out of pocket while juggling rent and bills. I’m hustling, exhausted, and honestly overwhelmed.

I hate asking for help, but I’m doing it—for Boom.
