Hi, my name is Trenton Mennenga, and I’m reaching out to ask for a little help for my dog, Boogie. Boogie is a very sweet 4-year-old German Shepherd–Pit Bull mix.

About two months ago, Boogie completely tore the ACL in his left leg while playing fetch in muddy grass. Since then, we’ve been trying conservative treatment with Adequan shots, which often have a high success rate, but unfortunately they haven’t worked in his case. After being evaluated at Gilbert Queen Creek Emergency Vet & Specialty Center, we were told that a full ACL reconstruction surgery is the best option for him to fully recover and avoid long-term pain or re-injury.

The total cost of the surgery is $7,500, and due to the limited number of veterinarians in Arizona qualified to perform this procedure on large dogs, a substantial down payment of $5,500 is required.
