I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to click the link and learn about our story.
Booger the Bearded Dragon was brought home by myself from a breeder off Kijiji back in February 2017. During one of my low points of depression, it was brought to my attention I should surround myself with the things I love. As most of you know, my love for animals has always been a huge part of what keeps me going during times of rough mental health patches. Thus, Booger was adopted!
After battling numerous health issues since her 1st vet visit at only 4 months old, we've unfortunately gotten to a point of needing to take the next step to treat her genetic respiratory infection (Don't support back-yard breeders - lesson learned the hard way)
I tried feeding her anti-biotics by syringe mixed with freshly blended veggies twice a day for 2 months but that didn't take. I tried giving her antibiotics by needle into arm 8 times, once every 3 days, but that didn't take. Now, our next strategy is to put her under anesthesia to flush her lungs out and grab a blood sample to figure out why the anti-biotics won't take.
That being said, I’m having a difficult time keeping up with her constant veterinary visits and would greatly appreciate any help that can be given.
I've been hit with an estimate of roughly $550.00 CAD. The vet said they would like to get her in A.S.A.P.
I really wish I was in a position where I was capable of getting her in right away but I recently cut down work hours and started taking courses to further my career. Watching her gasp for air while she shows symptoms of stress and illness really is heart-breaking so the sooner we can get her in the better.
Thank you again to everyone who liked, shared, commented, and donated to the cause. I assure you your donations are extremely appreciated.
I'll be posting regular updates on her condition as per usual for those who are interested in knowing more about her conditions and the procedure.
Alternatively, Feel free to send me a PM for more detailed information if need be.
Much love my fellow creatures <3
