Help Booger Come Home

Hello, we are the Peraltas, and we initiating this fundraising campaign for our best friend & doggie baby Booger.

Booger, a 13-year-old Chihuahua/Cocker spaniel mix, may only appear to be a dog to some, but he is much more than that. Booger is a blessing to our family; without him, we wouldn't be whole. He’s known to look grumpy or mad, but with his loved ones, he is a sweet & loving baby. He gives tons of attitude and loves bossing us around, but we can’t imagine our days without him.

After Booger's dinner on Monday, January 2, we saw that he was walking in tight circles and had an uncomfortable head tilt. His back legs were beginning to give way under him, and he eventually fell to the ground before his legs stiffened.

We contacted our neighborhood VCA right away and had him admitted to emergency services. After these preliminary examinations and scans his liver had an abscess that the doctor discovered, along with an extremely high enzyme count and a small mass that they believe can be cancerous. The underlying cause of Booger's dizziness is thought to be pancreatitis, which he was also dealing with. Booger found it very challenging to reach his center of balance because he is also blind. They predicted that a neurological issue may result from pancreatitis, which they believed may have generated a clot somewhere in the spinal cavity. Booger has now been in the hospital for two days, and more tests are being performed to make sure they can determine what is truly wrong with him.

We find it painful to witness the agony that our dearest friend and companion must endure. We humbly request your assistance in bringing Booger home. We appreciate you taking the time to read this.
