Final update:

Thank you all who donated. It helped us immensely during this very difficult time. Our beautiful, brave, amazing BooBoo gained her real wings last Wednesday February 25th. In her 6 short years she did so much and spread so much love and joy. She faught so hard up until the very end, so now it's our turn to take the strength and pain and hold it for her so she can finally rest. She taught Reese and I so much about how to find happiness in every single thing no matter how shitty life can be sometimes so that is going to keep her with us ❤️

We decided to get her cremated and have brought home her ashes. We also plan to get eachother some memorial gifts made like a realistic stuffie of her and some jelwery with her ashes to keep her close and help us thru this tough time once we recover our debts from this. As you may know all of this has put a massive hole in our already thinly lined pockets and wanted to keep our GoFundMe page up if anyone would like to help donate to our now memorial fund to help us keep our baby close while we heal ❤️ thank you for all your kind words and love and support - all of it means the world to us right now. BooBoo is not just a dog — she’s a survivor.

Booboo is originally from Egypt where, as a puppy, she was hit by a train and lost her back leg and front paw as well as toes on her other front foot.

Despite this she learned to walk again, play again, and love life again. Everyone who meets her sees how strong, happy and determined she is.

Now she’s facing another fight.

BooBoo has suddenly become very sick. Bloodwork has shown high bilirubin and severe liver abnormalities. She is currently on medications while we urgently work to diagnose the cause and determine treatment, but the diagnostics and procedures needed to save her life are expensive and time-sensitive.

Right now, BooBoo is still eating, still walking, and still fighting — but she needs help.

The funds raised will go directly toward:

- Advanced ultrasound and imaging

- Liver biopsy to determine the cause

- Medications and supportive care

- Potential surgery or treatment depending on diagnosis

Anyone who has met BooBoo knows she is special. She has already survived something that should have taken her life. She deserves every chance to survive this too.

UPDATE: Boo boo has had her ultrasound and biopsy. The prognosis does not look very good for her. The liver is covered in little bumps and irregularities called fibrosis. This isn't reversable and at this point we are in the stage of just trying to prolong and keep her pain free. Her biopsy at first glance also did not look good. We are still awaiting the official results but have gotten all the meds we can to keep her comfortable and happy. She has great moments and not great moments. She's getting pretty tired and does quite a bit of sleeping. We still get bursts of happy smiles and nubby punches so that tells us she's still doing what she can to fight this thing. Any donations now are going towards paying back borrowed money for her medications and tests and more supplements to help her feel good and pain free. We are currently taking every day as it comes. Today BooBoo is with us and we are so thankful for every single amazing second she gives us ❤️
