Hello Everyone, we have very unfortunate news to share that we wish more than anything wasn’t true. Yesterday, our little baby Boobies has been diagnosed with heart failure.
After coming home, we noticed he had labored breathing which concerned us, so after talking to a veterinarian, we headed to an urgent care where we were told Boobies has an enlarged heart and fluid building up in his lungs. Boobies is barely going to turn 3 next month and with him being so young and this coming out of nowhere , it has devastated us so so much. We expected him to live a long and healthy life before anything like this were to ever happen. He has always been such a healthy and playful kitty and suddenly being told he is experiencing heart failure when he was perfectly fine the day before is such a shock to us.
Boobies is seriously the most loving, caring, cuddly cat we have ever met in our lives, and raising him since he was a kitten, it hurts us so much knowing he is going through such pain, he doesn’t deserve this at all. He is full of love and joy and has been such a blessing in our lives bringing so many laughs and cuddles each and every day. It isn’t his fault that he has such a big heart figuratively and literally.
We are asking to help cover Boobies medical expenses which include:
- His heart medications
- His current hospitalization and oxygen therapy
- Special echo exam with a cardiologist
- Ongoing care to keep fluid out of his lungs
We do not like to ask for money at all but with how expensive his medical treatment has already revealed itself to be as well as continuing his care, we do not have the sufficient funds to care for Boobies on our own.
We don’t know how much longer we could have with our little boy but we want whatever time he could have to be happy, safe, and as comfortable as he can be. Any contribution, no matter how big or small would mean the absolute world to us and Boobies. Even if you can’t donate, sharing our story would mean just as much to help Boobies receive the care he needs.
He is still such a baby in age and heart and we want him to have a chance to continue to grow old and share his love with everyone around him. Thank you so much for helping us fight for our big baby. ❤️
