Hi, my name is Zohar Cohavy.
I recently came across a senior dog online who was shivering in the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter in California. The moment I saw him, I knew I couldn’t leave him there another day.
I had originally hoped to foster him through a rescue, but after being unable to find one that could pull or support him, I made the decision to adopt him myself. He deserved warmth, safety, and love—and I wanted to make sure he finally had that.
Since bringing him home, he’s had his first veterinary visit, which cost $500. During that appointment, I learned that he has stage 4/4 periodontal disease, and his dental work alone is estimated to cost a minimum of $1,500. Combined with the grooming and additional care he urgently needs, his total medical expenses are already overwhelming.
The shelter named him Wendall, but once he was safe with me, I began calling him Boo—because he’s gentle, sweet, and just wants to be held.
I’m humbly asking for your help so Boo can get the care he needs to live out his senior years in comfort and love. Any amount truly makes a difference. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
