Help Bonnie recover from natural disaster!

Donation protected

My sister, Bonnie, her teenage daughter, and all of her animals are currently displaced from their home. A tree came crashing through the roof late at night during a storm. The whole house started to flood, it was still pouring down rain.

Bonnie is a single mother and a foster for a Pitbull animal rescue - she had 7 dogs in her house when the tree came down. In the chaos, her and her daughter scrambled to pack the essentials, loaded up the kennels, and put out an emergency distress call to their friends for help. Fortunately, they are all safe, but their struggle through this disaster had just begun.

All 9 of them spent the next 3 days in a cheap 2 room motel which they were then evicted from despite the motel owner approving their temporary stay there with animals. Their stay cost them $500!

They tried to go back to the house to salvage whatever they could, but it wasn’t safe. The building had been condemned, and they weren’t allowed on the premise without an escort and even then it was only during certain hours. The landlord was not being helpful, and hadn’t arranged to have the tree moved - they were even trying to start tossing things out of the house without her permission!

By the time my sister was able to go back into the house, there was very little that was salvageable. Everything had been ruined by the storm. Many of her basic necessities had been crushed, thrown away, or ruined by the storm.

The foster dogs have had to separate from their pack, being picked up by different fosters in the area who are helping support her during the crisis - some of them have been boarded at dog kennels, which is another expense. Bonnie and her daughter are still taking care of 4 of them, and bouncing between locations, trying to rebuild their lives.

The burden of losing everything has been absolutely devastating. The financial burden has grown.

I’m asking for donations to help pay for food for her and her daughter and animals, cover housing costs until they find a more permanent solution, and purchase some basic hygiene items.

They will also need to replace furniture (primarily beds) and clothing.

We don’t know how long it will be until she is able to get into permanent housing, but she is rebuilding her life from losing everything.

Any little bit that you can provide is an extra burden lifted from her shoulders. Please help!!!
