Help Bonnie Rebuild After Losing Everything in a Tornado
On October 10th, my sister Bonnie lost her home and all of her belongings when a devastating tornado struck the Spanish Lakes retirement community in Ft. Pierce, FL. As Hurricane Milton approached Florida, it spawned multiple tornadoes across St. Lucie County, one of which completely destroyed much of the neighborhood where she lived. I live in a rural community in Oregon and wish there was more I could do right now.
While we are incredibly grateful that she survived, the reality of losing her home and all that she had worked for is overwhelming. At 67, starting over from nothing is especially difficult, and right now, she is facing the immense challenge of rebuilding her life from scratch.
Your support means everything as she navigates this painful and uncertain time. Any donation—no matter how big or small—will go toward helping Bonnie get back on her feet. Funds will be used for:
• Finding and securing temporary housing
• Replacing essential belongings like clothing, furniture, and daily necessities
• Covering immediate expenses like food and transportation
•Contributing to long-term recovery and rebuilding
It’s hard to imagine starting over, but with your help, we can give her the strength and support she needs to begin rebuilding her life.
We are so grateful for any support you can provide, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page with others who may be able to help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
