My parents’ neighbor, Bonnie, lost everything in a devastating house fire. She has no siblings, no children to help her, and now, no home to return to.
Bonnie is in her 60s and has significant medical issues. She lived on a fixed income and couldn’t afford insurance. When the fire broke out, she ran back inside to try and save her beloved pets, but tragically, they did not make it. She escaped with only the clothes on her back—no glasses, no dentures, and nothing left to call her own.
Right now, my parents have taken her in, and we’re working with the Red Cross to find her some help. But the truth is, she needs more than they can provide. She needs clothing, basic necessities, and, eventually, a place to call home again.
We’re asking for any help you can give—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser. Every dollar will go directly toward helping Bonnie rebuild her life from nothing. Our goal is $10,000, but honestly, anything helps.
Thank you for taking the time to read Bonnie’s story. Let’s come together as a community and show her she’s not alone.
