Help Bonnie (Linden) Sampson thru Neurosurgery and more…
Donation protected
I thought I’d begin this GoFundMe with a message to those who graduated from high school with us, but of course, anyone is welcome to contribute:
To Upper Moreland ‘83 Classmates…
I am reaching out because one of our classmates, Bonnie (Linden) Sampson, is having a tough time and is totally on her own in getting through it.
Those of you who remember Bonnie probably remember her as very sweet, caring, and friendly to everyone. She hasn’t changed in that respect at all.
She has had a tough go of it in a few areas of life, however, but she keeps getting back on her feet again! She lives in the local area and works hard every day.
Unfortunately, Bonnie has been in the hospital for about a week and is now scheduled for some pretty serious neurosurgery on Tuesday morning.
So while she should be taking time to relax prior to Tuesday’s procedure, instead she is worried about the fact that her job is one that doesn’t pay when she doesn’t work.
As someone who usually takes care of others and prides herself on her independence, Bonnie is frustrated that she can’t work right now; so when I asked, she agreed I could create this GoFundMe.
Bonnie remains absolutely determined to get back to work ASAP, but in reality, her doctor may want her to spend time in rehab, physical therapy, or more before she’s even allowed to head home after her surgery.
Many of us are fortunate enough that we either have the means ourselves, family, or our employers offer short-and-long-term disability programs and time off from work for major surgery. Bonnie doesn’t have those things available to her, yet she has a son who, at least for now, is also dependent on her.
If you’re able to donate anything to help Bonnie pay some bills, purchase food for her son now while she’s hospitalized, and both of them when she gets home, I know she’d truly appreciate it.
She doesn’t have anyone to fall back on, and that puts her in a scary position.
Thanks for considering this; I am happy to let others know how she does in surgery and what the plan is after that. If you'd like to get in touch with her, let me know and I’ll give you her contact info!
Thanks so much for considering!
