A few days ago, my aunt Bonnie Marszalec experienced a devastating house fire. Neighbors quickly called the fire department, and when they arrived, they found Bonnie unconscious inside her home. She had suffered severe burns on over 30% of her body and was struggling with smoke inhalation. The emergency team rushed her to the hospital, and she was later transferred to the San Francisco General burn unit. Doctors have given her a 40% chance to survive, and she is now fighting for her life.
Bonnie has always been an animal lover, caring for over 20 cats and 5 dogs. Tragically, some of her beloved pets did not survive the fire, but firefighters were able to revive several with oxygen. The veterinary bills are already overwhelming and continue to grow each day. In addition, Bonnie has horses in Half Moon Bay that will need ongoing attention and care during this difficult time.
The funds raised will go directly toward Bonnie's medical expenses, the care of her surviving animals, and support for her horses. Bonnie is in critical condition and needs all the help she can get. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference for her and her pets as they begin the long road to recovery. Thank you for your kindness and support. Sincerely, her nephew, Sean Pizziconi. Update: sadly she took her final breath last Sunday at 9:37 am. Our family is grieving . She will be missed mire than words can express.
