Bonnie Boo is my sweet 5-year-old cat, and she’s truly one of a kind. She can’t meow and has a permanent little head tilt, which only makes her more special to me. She’s the gentlest little lady, and her quiet presence brings so much joy to my life. Over the last several months, I noticed Bonnie was losing weight and started urinating on towels, clothes, and the carpet instead of her litter boxes. Her breath became noticeably stinky, and I knew something was wrong. After a visit to the vet, we discovered she has stomatitis—feline gingivitis—which has been growing unknowingly since I adopted her. Unfortunately, it’s a severe case, and she’ll need surgery to remove all of her teeth except her canines to help with the infection. The vet also found that Bonnie’s urinary issues are likely due to stress, and while her bladder was inflamed and there was some blood in her urine, it wasn’t a UTI. She now needs special urinary food, which is quite expensive, and the vet recommended more toys and climbing things to help her feel less stressed. I already have the right number of litter boxes, but I want to do everything I can to make her comfortable and happy. The funds raised will go directly toward Bonnie’s vet visit bill, her upcoming surgery, pain medicine to keep her comfortable until then, and the special food she’ll need for several months. Every little bit will help give Bonnie the chance to heal and get back to her happy, quirky self. Bonnie Boo is so young and has so much love to give. It breaks my heart to see her in pain, and I want to do everything I can to help her get better. We all love her very much, and I’d be so grateful for any support to help Bonnie recover and live a healthy, happy life.
