My name is Alejandra Bonilla. I'm using my friend Sarah Arthi Jacob's account to create this fundraiser.
I'm the granddaughter of Maria. My grandmother is an immigrant and was a field worker in California for many years. Four years ago she found out she had stage four cancer. Sadly, the chemotherapy wasn't doing enough for her body and her health has deteriorated. The doctors have approximated that she has less then two months to live.
My mother, a single parent of 6, is currently housing and nursing her mother through her last two months. We have managed to receive charity hospice support to bring a nurse to the home to take care of her in her last two months. The social worker has been very clear that we need to start preparing for her death, as it is expected to be very costly.
A few months ago, we fundraised for her to get housing and financial support so she could go to her appointments. Now, we are asking for financial support as she prepares for her death. My mother is in charge of the final expenses and it is a heavy financial burden. I would appreciate any and all support to provide for my grandmother's funeral services and final resting place.
