Meet Bodhi, the most charismatic 6-year-old Saint Bernard you’ll ever meet. He’s not your typical dog—no interest in toys or lounging in the sun. Instead, Bodhi thrives on human connection. He’s a professional floor keeper downer and greeter at the salon, where he waltzes in daily like he owns the place, ready to welcome every guest with warmth and charm. His signature move? The Flying Nun ears—they spread wide when he spots someone he truly loves, right before he saunters over like he's making a grand entrance.

Bodhi is dramatic, hilarious, and completely irreplaceable in our lives. But on May 2nd, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of aggressive bone cancer. Since then, we’ve been doing everything possible to keep him comfortable and give him the best treatment available. He has already undergone multiple X-rays, bloodwork, a biopsy, and consultations at UT Oncology Veterinary Hospital. Just this past weekend, we traveled to Upstate Vet Emergency & Specialty Care in Greenville, SC, for radiation therapy on Monday and Tuesday. He did great.

Since sharing his diagnosis, we have been touched by an outpouring of love and the generosity of people reaching out, asking how they can help and contribute to Bodhi’s care - leading us to start this GoFundMe, even though it has been difficult to decide to do this. His mom’s pride makes this hard, but knowing how deeply he is loved and how many people want to support him reminds us that this is about giving Bodhi the best possible chance.

Providing that Bodhi responds well to the treatments received, he will need ongoing monthly infusions of zoledronate to manage pain and encourage healthy bone growth at the tumor site. He will also require regular chest X-rays and blood work to monitor for metastatic spread. Additionally, we are looking into immunotherapy to give him the best chance at a longer, more comfortable life. Unfortunately, his insurance is maxed out for this diagnosis, and the cost of care continues to rise.

We want Bodhi to keep bringing joy to the people he loves. To be able to keep sauntering over with his signature ears and soaking in all the belly rubs from his adoring fans for as long as he can. Every donation, no matter how small or large, will go directly toward his ongoing medical care, ensuring he gets the treatment he deserves.
