Bodhi is a sweet French Bulldog who is a regular at Runyon Canyon and Wattles Garden Park. He plays with his friends out front of our condo on the grass but may be leashed at Wattles Garden as there is a lot of ball throwing and he's a ball thief. He's very sweet and important to me and my family. I'm a single mom of my fur baby so he's my world, but he's also important to my two nieces and nephew, my friends and neighbors and their fur babies, and other fur babies in our extended family.
He was full of energy but took a quick turn and was recently diagnosed with lymphoma that went into his chest. He's been in the vet ER on oxygen the past few days and I hope to bring him home this afternoon to start his treatment plan of getting that cancer into remission. The masses have already reduced by 50% the past couple days so that is hopeful. The first two vet visits plus the days in ER has already exceeded the max allowable on his insurance and we still need a chemo treatment plan. I hope to get a little help for what exceeds my insurance and care credit capacity to continue his recovery as he has a lot of life left to live. He loves going to the beach and to his regular spots in the local community and wants to get out there again. We're not ready to say goodbye and for sure don't want to say goodbye in the ER.
We are so grateful for the compassion and care from his veterinarian, Dr. Forsythe at The Melrose Vet, and his oncologist, Dr. Tansey at MASH, who have been guiding us through this difficult time.
Your help and support for Bodhi's recovery journey would mean the world to us. He has more walks to take up Runyon and more cuddles and snores.
