Help Bobby Smicz

Hi everyone, it’s Emmett Loughran and I’m starting this Go Fund Me account for Bobby Smicz and his family. A lot of you know Bobby from the ESPN golf and racing days as a RF technician back in the mid 80’s and into the 90’s.  So here is Bobby’ story, in his own words:
”I have been trying to get disability for 2 years and denied, because my neck is so bad I was becoming paralyzed, only to find out the doctors over looked MS and just assumed my issues were from my neck.  Finally, I went to new doctors who finally did the tests and found that I do have MS and my doctors for years were barking up the wrong tree ignoring all the MS symptoms. We tried to sue the doctors for malpractice for unnecessary procedures they did on me that made me worse, only to find out in CT there is a 2 year statute of limitations and no lawyer will get involved because it’s been 2 years. So I start MS treatment and find out I also have lyme disease, making it worse. Then out of the blue, my wife is having throat problems and they do an ultra sound and find a lump on her thyroid. They do a biopsy and find cancer.  Our bills are out of control. My wife was paying over $1000 a month for my son and my insurance.   If she can’t work, we will lose that too.  I have tried and been denied for every fed and state assistance available, denied disability. I can’t work. I lost all feeling in my left arm, both feet and my right leg. my legs are becoming paralyzed. My arm was made numb from a nerve block they did on the wrong nerve.  It is unreal.  My wife has been working, but now the cancer is going to take her down for awhile. We are not doing well. Even with insurance, which we may lose as we have thousands in medical bills.  We are in dire straits. We have medical bills out the wazoo and have no help. When it rains it hurricanes. I never, we never needed anything or help from anyone, we worked our butts off for 35 yrs, but we have nothing left. We have spend everything we ever had, lost our house and now if she can’t work we are really screwed. It just keeps getting worse. This is just the basics. There is more, but its just to long and too unbelievable to even explain.”
         So everyone, that’s the sad story of Bobby and his family. If you can help, thats’ terrific and if you can’t, thats understable in this current finacial world that we live in.  If anything, pray for Bobby and his family and here’s hoping that the New Year brings some optimism to the Smicz.  Thanks again and Merry Christmas everyone !!!
