On Saturday, September 27th, when I was on my way home from work, I called my dad to speak with him on my ride home, and a nurse from the emergency room answered and told me that he came in as a trauma after a motor vehicle accident.

She said he was paralyzed from the neck down and they needed to take him for emergency surgery for spinal decompression. I agreed to the surgery and he has since been in ICU and everything is falling out from under him. He is losing his home, he has lost his vehicle, and he has lost his independence for himself.

He's in a lot of pain, physically and emotionally.

We're in the process of packing everything up at his home and getting everything moved to storage so that the house can be put on the market. The neurosurgeon told us it will take at least a year until we know his new baseline, so it will be a long road of hospitalization. As you can imagine, all of this comes with a huge financial burden.

So I am creating this account for him to help assist in covering any costs to make sure everything is taken care of for him. Any amount helps and we need all the prayers we can get.
