Help Bobby O'Neill Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
My father-in-law, Bobby O'Neill, has been dealt a heartbreaking blow by the destruction of Hurricane Helene. Earlier this week, as the storm approached, Bobby was forced to evacuate his home in St. Pete Beach, Florida. When he finally returned this morning, he was greeted by devastation.
Saltwater flooding had ravaged his home, leaving his furniture, clothing, and many cherished personal items destroyed beyond repair. Adding to the heartbreak, his beloved Harley Davidson—recently repaired and freshly painted—was partially submerged for days, its fate uncertain.
While Bobby has renter’s insurance, like so many others, his policy excludes flood damage. Although he’s applied for FEMA assistance, the widespread damage caused by Hurricane Helene across multiple states means it could be months before he sees any help.
This isn’t the first time Bobby has had to rebuild his life. Just a few years ago, he lost many household items in a house fire. Now, he’s facing the daunting reality of starting over yet again. With his rental home needing extensive repairs and no guarantee of when or if they’ll be completed, Bobby is left with no choice but to leave his home and stay with family, feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about the future.
We’re reaching out to the community for support. Any donation, no matter the size, will help Bobby get back on his feet—replacing essential items, addressing immediate needs, and relieving the heavy financial burden this disaster has placed on him. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing Bobby’s story with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity during this incredibly difficult time. Together, we can help Bobby rebuild his life once again.
