Hello to all. This Bobby and Donna Harmon from Dover Florida reaching out to friends and family. This hurricane disaster has affected a whole lot of people in a whole lot of ways. I know some have lost their lives, some have lost their livelihood and some have lost their homes. My heart breaks with them, and I know how they must feel, because Milton destroyed my home as well. I wasn’t sure we were all going to make it out as water came in 4 feet high. Thankfully we were rescued out of the house, by canoe, into 6 feet of water at 1:30 in the morning. I am so glad someone had a vehicle to sit in, safe and warm until daylight! Calling the insurance company has been a nightmare, as they informed me that even though it was hurricane Milton, they are calling it a flood and our home would not be covered without flood insurance. We are in the process of gutting our whole house as it is completely not livable and we have lost nearly everything! Even though I am so overwhelmed, I am going to find some ways for the government to help us out, but in the meantime I am reaching out boldly but humbly asking for support. We need prayers first, and then any offering you are able to give would be greatly appreciated. ALL donations will go toward rebuilding our home. We will be extremely grateful for every penny!
