Hi! My name is Bobbie and I’m a 23 4 year old non-binary transmasculine person living in the UK.

I’m a silly little guy with a passion for nature and art. I live with my partner and our 2 cats Peanut and Twinkle in Northumberland, England.

I’ve been out as transgender for 6 years now and it’s finally time I start pushing towards getting top surgery - a huge life goal of mine that would significantly increase my quality of life. I’ve been on testosterone for one year now and even though the changes are gradual I cannot begin to put into words the difference it has made to my mental health.

Im going to have to go private and most likely out of country. If I have surgery in the uk, it’ll be close to 12k but if go out of the country to somewhere like Spain, that drops to 5.5k (not including travel and accommodation of course)

Why go private, you ask?

Because my referral to the gender identity clinic states I’ll be waiting at least 77 months (aka 6.7 years!) for a first appointment, and surgery will take years after that to be confirmed. This will push me well into my 30s and the idea of not getting to live my life to the fullest until then is genuinely crushing.

I’m from a very low-income, non-supportive household and while I have a wonderful loving partner and beautiful friends to support me, I have no financial help other than my partner to make this dream a reality.
