Help Boba get spleen surgery!

My name is Miranda & I am the proud dog mom of a feisty 13-year old Jack Russell named Boba (short for Boba Fett - my husband is a HUGE Star Wars fan). My husband Terry & I adopted Boba shortly after we got married & he has been the center of our world ever since. My career is in the dance world & my husband is a disable retired veteran, so he's moved with us throughout South Carolina, Massachusetts, Georgia, & New Hampshire, travelling up & down the east coast like a champ all the way. He's spent most of his doggy life in a non-profit ballet studio while mom & dad teach class & run rehearsals, & he even hangs out backstage, guarding the stage door to keep all the dancers safe during performances. He's a bit of a lone wolf, but you may catch him snuggling with his favorite little pack mate, a rat terrier named Sylvie who loves him very much.
Boba started having seizures a few summers ago & even with a lot of vet visits & various medical tests, no cause was ever found. We've been able to keep his seizures manageable since then through medication, but this summer Boba had a particularly terrible night of 5 cluster seizures that ended with him in the ER. They were able to stop the seizures & put him on new medicine that have kept him seizure-free ever since. That's the good news. The bad news is that in the process of his many, MANY expensive medical tests they found a mass on his spleen the size of a SOFTBALL. How long it has been there we may never know, but the only way to know if the mass is benign or cancerous is to have it removed.
We spent every penny we had saved on Boba's other medical needs this summer, so we could really use help making this life-saving surgery happen as soon as possible so we can have many years left with our little monster.
THANK YOU!
