Help Boba the Bunny Get Back on His Feet
Hello, my name is Tiffany, and this is Boba.
Boba hopped into my life when he was just three months old, after I found him in my backyard. Since then, he’s been my constant companion: by my side through college applications, the ups and downs of student life, and most recently, as we celebrated my graduation from UC Berkeley together. Anyone who’s met Boba knows him as a friendly, lovable ball of curiosity with an endless appetite for treats and adventure.
On May 31st, something changed. For the first time ever, Boba didn’t come running at the sound of his treat jar. He seemed weak, had little appetite, and was noticeably thinner. I watched him closely, consulted with vets, and was told that as long as he was still eating, he should be okay. But my gut told me something was wrong. After researching his symptoms, I realized they matched the early signs of respiratory failure in rabbits. I rushed him to emergency care that night, where he is now undergoing tests and receiving treatment at the veterinary hospital.
Boba means the world to me, and I want to do everything I can to help him recover. If Boba has ever made you smile or brightened your day, even just through a story or a photo, I would be deeply grateful for any support you can offer toward his medical care. Every donation, no matter the size, will help give Boba the best chance at a full recovery.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
With love,
Tiffany & Boba
June 2, 2025 Update:
Boba is still in the hospital and needs the support of an oxygen tank to be comfortable. We were able to take x-rays of his chest and determine that there is structures in the lung. In the x-ray pictures you can see the area where the lungs are are white, which is abnormal. We are performing a CT scan of his lungs and will find out end of today what exactly is happening with him- whether it is abscess or a tumor.
