For those who may not know, my family and I are major cat/animal lovers. We love and treat our pets as if they were our family members. Unfortunately, our oldest cat Boba is very sick and we are trying to figure out what is wrong with her.

Boba is 9 years old and we’ve had her since she was born. She is a special part of our family and we can’t imagine life without her.

On Sunday, October 5th, we noticed Boba wasn’t herself. Instead of eagerly racing inside when we opened the catio (like she always does) Boba stayed curled up in a corner lethargic, withdrawn, and clearly not herself. She refused food, even her favorite treats and spent the night vomiting despite having nothing in her stomach.

Since then things have only gotten worse.

We’ve rushed her to the vet multiple times. She's had blood work, X-rays, and an ultrasound, but the results remain inconclusive. The only findings so far are gas in her stomach and something the vets can feel in her upper GI tract, possibly a blockage. Despite nausea medication and appetite stimulants, she still won’t eat and continues to vomit. She has been surviving off SQ fluids, she can’t keep going like this.

The vet believes the only way to figure out what's wrong is through exploratory surgery. Without it, they can't help her, and her chances of recovery are slim.

We’re doing everything we can to help Boba heal, but the cost of urgent care, diagnostics, and potential surgery has stacked up to the point where we don’t know how we are going to be able to continue paying to figure out what is wrong with her. Between all of my family members and myself, we have exhausted all of our funds and are asking for help.
