My name is Bob Provencher and I'm looking to raise money to help with medical bills and financial struggles after many surgeries and getting my leg amputated.
In the past 5 years I have struggled with multiple surgeries due to vascular issues. Within the last 2 years I've had 7 surgeries with the last 3 being the hardest to deal with physically, financially, mentally and emotionally.
On October 19th 2025 I was scheduled and went in for a operation to try and repair a old bypass to restore blood flow in my left lower leg that had went bad. After getting out of surgery and speaking with the surgeon he had informed my family and I that the surgery was unsuccessful and that Within 48hrs I would need to be amputated under the knee.
On the 21st I was amputated below the knee. The surgery seemed to go well but after a few days I ended up in terrible pain. After testing I was told that my calf muscle was dying and that I was going to need surgery again to amputate higher up the leg now above the knee which changes everything from pain and recovery time to the quality of life.
On October 25th I went in and was amputated now above the knee. Surgery went as well as it could this time but the pain, limited mobility and financial burden that followed is beyond overwhelming.
On top of the usual bills it is impossible to keep up with and pay for prescriptions and specialist visits that insurance will not cover.
I took a mobility test to see how much insurance would cover of a prosthetic and what it would cost. I was informed that the prosthetic would cost between $50,000 and $60,000 and insurance will cover up to 80%.
Doing a fundraiser was the last thing I wanted to do but had to come to terms with it. Anything will help including all the thoughts and prayers that you can give.
