Help Bob & Sue Survive Crohn's

Donation protected
My parents are in need of assistance; these two amazing people have been through so much together and have never given up on each other. They are the people that won't have but two shirts, but will give you one of theirs so you aren't without. My mom, Sue, has been living life with Crohn's disease since she was 17. She has undergone numerous surgeries, countless flare-ups, and more days in bed sick than any one of her kids want to talk about. Yet, my dad, Bob, stood by her side as any husband should, and they have lived a humble but wonderful life, raising my brothers and I. Our family has grown to accept four new members- two daughters- in - law, but lets be real- they're their kids thru and thru, and two beautiful granddaughters. Recently though, my mom's health has diminished significantly and has taken a huge toll on their life. She was fortunate enough to attend my wedding, but she was ill even then, losing weight and barely eating because everything hurt or wouldn't stay down. Shes always been small, but there isn't an ounce to lose... and yet she has. In the end of November 2020, she was hospitalized and her first of 3 drainage bags were put in. She hasn't worked since then, and as half of the income in the house this has taken a huge hit to life. She has continually gotten sicker, needing a new drainage bag after drainage bag to remove the multiple fistulas and abcesses that have come to errode part of her intestines with her surgeon not wanting to do surgery because of all the risks. In March, she was finally referred to an infectious disease doctor and they made the decision to put an IV port in to inject medicine to help fight this infection riddling her body. Since then, she has gotten skinnier and skinnier down to now 95 pounds, with her body just failing her. Without her working for 6 months, and medical bills piling up from visit after visit with the infectious disease doctor, multiple surgeons and gastrointestinal doctors. Finally her work, where her health insurance is thru, has finally requested she pay her half, which is an astronomical amount. They have taken loans out to make ends meet, cashed in 401k's, everything they can do to just keep lights on, and doctors offices still willing to see her. So I am asking for help for them. She has lived this life for so long, defying the odds and having healthy kids, living life to the fullest with my dad standing at her side thru it all. He has missed more work than he has worked this year because of needing to take care of her and take her to appointments up to a hour away. We have set a small but modest goal to help relieve some of the stress for them. Anything anyone can help will help her fight this battle with Crohn's she is struggling with. Thank you for your time.
