Help Bob Sattler in his cancer fight

Hello, my name is Murray, and I am starting this fundraiser for my good friend and teammate, Bob Sattler.

Bob retired after many years as a Vernon business leader and engaged community member this April. He and his wife, Dar, were looking forward to enjoying retired life together and their families.

Unfortunately, April also brought devastating news to the family when Bob was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer with metastases in his ribs and spine. Bob’s cancer is fast-moving, inoperable and ultimately terminal.

Bob has chosen to fight this cancer and has started radiation treatment daily in Kelowna and will be starting Chemotherapy once a treatment program has been established for him in Vernon.

Being recently retired and with no health plan, we feel that Bob may need assistance for medication costs and expenses related to his treatment.

This is a way in which you can assist with costs associated with fighting this disease and show your support for Bob during this time.

My teammates and I ask that you kindly donate what you can afford, and no amount is too small. Or, share this page to help Bob cover medical expenses, travel and other related costs to help ease the burdens they will face. All funds will go directly to Bob and Dar in their time of need.
