Hi, my name is Makayla. My Grandfather, Bob Powis, lost his home last night to a large fire. With the frigid temperatures and high winds odds were not in his favor. Almost 50 years of memories were made in the house however, the house was a total loss but at least he is okay. He only had limited insurance on the house and all he has left now is clothes that was on his back.

We would like to thank the lowville, martinsburg and Copenhagen fire department for trying to save his house tonight. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and thank you to the neighbors, friends and family who were there.
