Hello, my name is Kenneth D. Sarratt, and I’m reaching out from the heart to share the story of a young man and his family in The Gambia who are facing very difficult times.
My name is not Bob — I’m Kenneth, and I’m personally helping Bob Jarju and his family. Bob is a determined young man from The Gambia living with his mother, Rose Mendy, and his younger brothers and sister. He lost his father a few years ago, and since then life has become incredibly hard for them. His dad was the main provider, and after his passing, the family has struggled more and more each day.
There are times they go days without proper food. Bob feels deep pain watching his younger brothers and sister cry from hunger, knowing he cannot fully provide for them no matter how hard he works. He was in upper basic school, about to start high school, when his father passed away. He dreams of finishing his education, but there’s no support right now. None of his younger siblings are in school either. With help, Bob and all his brothers and sister could return to their studies and build a better future.
Family members:
• Mother: Rose Mendy
• Younger brothers and sister: John Jarju, Eric Jarju, Simon Jarju, Junior Jarju, Kenneth Jarju, Elizabeth Jarju
I am running this campaign as Kenneth D. Sarratt through my personal nonprofit efforts to support families in need. 100% of all proceeds will go directly to Bob and his family — nothing is taken out for fees on my end. The funds will be used for food, school fees, uniforms, books, and basic necessities to help them through this tough season.
Even small donations make a big impact. With today’s exchange rate (1 USD ≈ 73 Gambian Dalasi), $5–$10 can buy food for several days. $20–$50 can help with school needs.
Our goal is $3,000 USD — enough to provide many months of food security, get all the children back in school, and give this family some stability while they rebuild.
To everyone reading this:
Thank you for taking a moment to care about Bob and his family. Your support means more than just money — it brings real hope to a young man trying his best to hold his family together after losing his father. I want his younger brothers and sister to know that even in hard times, they are not alone. With your kindness, they can eat proper meals again, smile more, and return to school to chase their dreams.
I encourage anyone who can to help, no matter how small. Every dollar you give tells this family that good people out there believe in them and want them to rise again. To Bob and his siblings: hold on tight. Better days are coming. God has not forgotten you, and the kindness of others is proof of that.
Let’s turn this pain into progress together. Your encouragement and support will help us build a brighter future for this family, one day at a time. God bless you.
