Help Bob get to the USA and start his fully-funded Ph.D.
Donation protected

Bob Bayo, 25, just got admitted into his dream fully funded Ph.D. program in experimental psychology at Ohio University in Athens. However, although the offer comes with a full tuition remission, health insurance, and a stipend, relocation costs are to be borne by him.
As a first generation student who is self-sponsored, the relocation funds are a bit too much for Bob to handle on his own. He has been busy volunteering at a Ugandan non-profit since graduating in 2023, but paying jobs are hard to find in Uganda.
By our calculation, we will need around 2,500 USD (3750 CAD) and this amount will be enough to cover his one-way air ticket, the cost of his student visa, the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee, set-up shopping, and keep him afloat in the United States while he awaits the first payment from the University.
Your kind support will be greatly appreciated, and means the world to Bob.
Thank you!
Tara (I'm in Canada and met Bob through another project I was involved in in Uganda (where we succeeded in purchasing an ambulance with the support of a group of people worldwide). His attitude appealed to me as did his volunteer work in environment projects. He ended up becoming internet friends with one of my children. I'm really happy for him that he has been chosen for the Ph.D. program and I started the gofundme to help him get himself over to this part of the world) .
