On September 12th, Bob Bennett, husband, father of 7, grandfather, godfather, Christian, and and small business owner (Bennett Coachworks) was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called Guillian-Barre syndrome. Within 48 hours he was completely paralyzed. Guillian-Barre causes your antibodies to attack the nervous system, causing paralysis. He was unable to lift a lift a finger, eat, or even control his eyes and every breath was a struggle. While there is no cure for Guillian-Barre, when treated, the majority of patients recover and can walk on their own again in 6 to 8 months. The path to recovery will be long and painful, but he is motivated and works with nurses and physical therapists every day. Bob is already making progress in the hospital and is ready to move into a rehabilitation facility. He does not have health insurance and he and is wife are working class business owners that didn't qualify for Obama care but also couldn’t afford to pay out of their pocket. He was only a few months away from qualifying for Medicare. He and his wife Janell are in jeopardy of losing so much. They have worked so hard their entire lives to get where they are. They are kind, generous and give help to others so selflessly and would never ask for anything in return, but this time they need your help, love, support and prayers. Bob’s medical bills are substantial. Please, if you have anything to give to help cover even a fraction of the cost they would be beyond grateful.
While Bob is facing a physical challenge he is still actively involved in the business of building and restoring cool cars. He communicates throughout the day with the shop. With God's grace he will recover completely. Please consider a donation to this most loving and giving family. Thank you.
