Help Bob Get a New Heart and Thrive

Hi. My name is Shannon Biggs and I'm Bob's sister. For those of you who know Bob, he's a man who loves family and friends, God, and living life fully. He's generous and loving, spends his time outdoors, laughing, adventuring, and giving his time, energy, and prayers to help others in need, always.

Today Bob needs your help to live—and even to thrive. He's in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant. Bob entered the hospital in July 2025 with only days to live. His chronic heart conditions had finally reached their limit, and his heart function (EF) was only 18%. But despite these challenges, with the love, generosity, and care of family, friends, and community, he is an excellent candidate for a new heart that will allow him to live life with gusto for many, many years to come.

Bob will be in the ICU for several weeks to months while we wait for the right heart for him. He requires a lot of care and will endure costs not covered by insurance both during his hospital stay and even more so when he is released from the hospital. Requiring constant care, he will stay at my house for the first 6 weeks before he finally goes to his own home, where he will still need daily medical, diet, transportation, household, therapeutic, and other support.

We are asking for your help to meet these financial needs so his life savings are not totally depleted and he has what he needs to thrive.

As you can imagine, living in an ICU wing for weeks to possibly months is its own challenge.
