Help Bob & Edwina Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

Over the last 46 years, Bob & Edwina Tatum have built a beautiful haven on the North Toe River in Minneapolis, North Carolina. Their home on the river was filled with memories; their land shared with two horses, Shiner and Shaddrach. People from the community and beyond were always welcome.

In late September 2024, Hurricane Helene ripped through Southern Appalachia and took everything they had with it. Their home, horses, cats, and barn all swept away in the Mighty Toe.

Their home insurance will not cover any of their loss. FEMA may be providing some financial aid to help rebuild but it will only be a small portion of what their home was worth.
