Help Bob “Chez” Cherasaro Fight Cancer

This GoFundMe campaign has been created for the family of Bob “Chez” Cherasaro Jr. Bob has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive form of Renal Cancer with a tumor on his brain, spots on his chest and a tumor on his kidney. Ultimately, Bob will leave behind his two beloved kids, Francesca, 22 and Nicholas, 20 who have already been living through the devastation of losing their mom, just a little over a year ago, in January 2018.
The nightmare that they have already experienced, they ultimately will experience again by losing their father which is something that no young adults should have to deal with. Furthermore, the Cherasaro family faces a major financial burden of treatment/medical costs and day to day living expenses as doctors have told Bob he cannot work during treatments.
Background Information:
Bob's late wife Susan's extended illness began in 2012 with Rheumatoid Arthritis and blood clots. Her spinal issues were deemed inoperable and she had her hip replaced. In 2015, Sue required a Hysterectomy however developed Renal issues. She had both knees replaced in 2016 / 2017 and had to address Renal issues again. Sue then had Cataract surgery on both eyes in 2017 and soon thereafter, was diagnosed with Lupus and began treatment. In November of 2017, Sue was hospitalized for approximately 45 days. During this time she suffered from Cardiac Arrest, Kidney failure, Lupus, bed sores, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Miraculously, her health improved. She was released from the hospital and entered a rehabilitation facility. Three weeks into her stay, she contracted an infection and passed away.
Bob formerly worked over 20 years for AT&T. Lucent Technologies and Avaya. He enjoyed the people as well as the positions he held during that time. He loved playing competitive softball and bowling and is in the Somerset County Bowling Hall of Fame. The activity he loved the most was coaching his kids and watching them play.
In 2015, when Susan was ill, Bob was by her side. He was unemployed at the time and became her sole caregiver. Taking care of his wife/family as a priority, Bob worked odd jobs to supplement Susan's disability income. Since Susan passed away, while grieving and tying up loose ends, Bob has looked unsuccessfully for gainful employment.
In mid-April of this year, Bob experienced what he thought to be a stroke and was rushed to the hospital where it was determined that he had suffered a seizure. After further testing, Bob was informed that he had a small brain tumor, small spots on his chest and a mass attached to his right kidney. The brain tumor will be treated with Radiation. The spots on the chest and tumor on the kidney will be treated with Immunotherapy which will eliminate the spots, prevent the spread of the disease and shrink the Renal tumor. At this time an official, accurate prognosis has not been specified.

As I mentioned earlier, this campaign has been created for the family of Bob Cherasaro. Bob will not be allowed to work during treatments nor does he have Life Insurance due to prior financial circumstances. It is our goal to raise $60,000 so that Bob, Nicholas, and Francesca can cover treatment/medical costs and day-to-day living expenses including the mortgage.
