Today, 11/10/2025, at around 8:30 am, a fire broke out in the living area that Bob and Martha Henderson live in. Bob tried his best to fight the fire before the local fire department was called to suppress it. Thankfully, no one was hurt. Bob gained a few stitches and a nasty bump on the head from falling debris and was taken to the hospital to make sure he was fine and didn't suffer from smoke inhalation. Both were given a clean bill of health.

Bob and Martha are elderly and unfortunately do not have insurance to help with the rebuild. Bob and Martha have been a part of the Van Buren community for more than 40 years. They have always helped when they could and looked out for their friends and neighbors. I am hoping that we can come together and make things a little easier for them.
