Help with Final Expenses for Bob
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Monica, I am Beth’s daughter, and blessed to have Bob as an amazing man in mine and my children’s lives, but especially in my mama’s life
As some of you know, but most I know are not aware, Bob was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2023. Bob began a treatment regiment soon after and everything went very well. Bobs body handled the treatment with very mild side effects and it was working on shrinking the cancer, residing in his liver and bile duct, so well that after that round was completed, he began an immuno therapy only regiment, while continuing to get scans done to keep an eye on the cancer. Bob has an amazing Oncologist who he trusts, and truly has Bobs best interests at the forefront of his medical decisions and recommendations.
In March, of this year, Bobs scans revealed new spots of cancer on his liver, so discussions and plans were made with his medical team, and he began treatments right away. This round of treatment was adjusted from the first, and has been much harder in Bob’s body, and with that have been several trips to the hospital, mainly in Des Moines. This time has been so much different from the first, and it’s taking a huge toll on Bob. Along with that, Beth, his wife, has continued to go to work, care for Bob, and that is becoming harder and harder to balance.
Last week Bob was admitted to Methodist in Des Moines, where he still is today, and it’s uncertain when he can return home, as he has sepsis. They are treating him, and his labs are continuing to show improvement, but he is still very weak, and will without a doubt, need Beth home to be able to assist him as he continues to heal, and fight this beast that is cancer.
Both Beth and Bob has a zest for life, that flows out of them, they love helping people, they love making others feel loved and happy, and together, they have the most beautiful life!
At this time, I am hoping that through the enormous amount of people whom they have touched in some way, that we can come together and help them in their time of need. It is crucial that Beth be able to take time off of work to be right by Bob’s side, but the need to work so that bills, medications, treatments, gas, food, and other essentials are still able to be had, is a very tough position for them to be in.
Im asking that you send love, prayers, good vibes…all of that, their way. Bob's birthday is coming up, so cards and well wishes would be so wonderful! If you are able to make a donation, no matter the size, that would be so very appreciated.
All donations made, will go directly to Bob and Beth.
