About Me & Why I’m Asking for Help

Hi, my name is Boaz Abel — I’m a creative strategist, filmmaker, father, and founder of NurScope , a digital storytelling and cultural media platform that uplifts voices from underrepresented Muslim and global communities.

For years, I’ve used my skills in branding, film, and marketing to support nonprofits, cultural organizations, and small businesses — especially Black Muslim and Southeast Asian-led initiatives. Whether through designing impactful media for causes like MuslimARC, building modest fashion campaigns, or creating multilingual digital libraries for Muslim families, I’ve always believed that authentic storytelling can bridge worlds.

Right now, though, I’m at a crossroads. I’ve invested everything I have into building NurScope and Islamic Global Library — two projects aimed at connecting African American, Indonesian, Malaysian, and Japanese Muslim creatives — but I’ve hit a financial wall. I’m struggling to keep the lights on and cover essentials like rent, food, transportation, and the tech subscriptions I need to keep serving clients and building this vision.

I’m not giving up. But I need your help to make it through this stretch so I can keep going — and keep building something that uplifts us all.
