Help Bo Vowell Recover After Work Accident.
$1,820 raised of $10K
My name is Deana Vowell, and I am the sister-in-law of Bo Vowell. I am starting this GoFundMe to help Bo and his family with overwhelming medical expenses and everyday bills, as he will be unable to work for some time.
On January 19, 2026, Bo was working and framing a deck when a tragic accident occurred. A nail from a nail gun struck a knot in the wood, ricocheted, and hit him directly in the eye. Running on adrenaline, Bo pulled the nail out himself and drove to UH Hospital, where doctors immediately performed emergency surgery.
Before surgery, Bo could only see shadows. Statistically, in injuries like this, vision often does not return. At this time, doctors are still unsure of the full extent of the damage. The main focus right now is allowing the wound to heal and the blood to dissolve. Once healing progresses, they will be able to determine the long-term damage. There is a possibility of a detached retina or the need for a lens replacement, but currently, the trauma and recent surgery make it impossible to fully assess.
Bo is the provider for his family. He works in construction and is also an incredibly talented tattoo artist. He is resilient and determined, and we believe he will fight his way back—but until then, he will need help covering medical bills and basic living expenses.
Please consider donating to support Bo and his beautiful family during this incredibly difficult time. Any amount helps, and if you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser means more than you know. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.
