If you know me, you know Bo Bo. It’s that simple.

The thing about Bo is….he isn’t just a cat to me. For the past thirteen years, he’s been my sidekick, my comfort, my medicine, and a huge chunk of my heart. I rescued him but he saved me.

Bo has always been different. He’s large, in every sense of the word. He wobbles around without hip joints (oh yeah, he hasn’t had those since he was a year and a half old!) He’s loud and particular. And quite frankly, he’s got some habits that make me question at times whether or not he’s partially a dog. Most importantly, he’s attached to me in a way that I’ve never experienced before him; and even more so, I’m attached to him.

Right now, Bo is very sick. And while I am realistic about this situation, I am also incredibly hopeful. The amount of money I need to raise is in order for him to receive the treatment and tests that he needs for us to get to the bottom of what the problem is. It’s possible that Bo has cancer, but we still can’t be certain. These processes include a blood transfusion, and extensive work up for his current state. He is currently in the ICU at The University of Florida Veterinary Hospital and will remain there for treatment until further notice.

Bo doesn’t have health insurance…..and at this point it’s too late to obtain. I completely understand that times are hard. I know that the world isn’t in an ideal economic position and that the average person is really struggling these days. I also know that to some people, this seems like a stretch; but my friends, Im not ready to give up the fight for this one. I only ask that if you can donate, even just a little, that you will.
