Help Bo Breathe Again

Meet Bo.

Bo is our 6 year old kitty who has been struggling to breathe for 4 months now. I noticed one day his breathing was very heavy and worrying. We have been taking him to multiple vet check-ups and gave him a multitude of prescribed antibiotics, steroids and medicine but nothing is working. Things have only gotten worse as now he is very drowsy and isn't his usual energetic self, chasing butterflies and skipping around the grass like a rabbit. The vet told us that until we know exactly what's wrong, he might be with us for hopefully 6 more months on the given medication.

The X-rays we have are showing his lungs and body are filling with fluids but they can't remove it until they know exactly where they are. The last option we have is to give him a CT scan to check for fluid pockets in his lungs and possible tumours. We are in a difficult situation as we don't want to exhaust him further with vet visits and all this medication. These CT scans alone cost 1,000 euro and treatments post scans can be up to another 1,000 euro, and we have already spent over 600 euro on the vet visits and medication. We want to save him but we are unable to financially recover from these costs at this time.

Bo has been with us for 4 years and ever since we met him he has changed our lives for the better. We can't express how much he means to us. He creates a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere at home, looking his absolute cutest when food is nearby, and always giving us head nudges when we are at our lowest. We nicknamed him 'healer' as he always knows when someone is unwell and stays by their side till they get better. Now it's our turn to heal him.

All funds will be used to cover costs of the CT scans, x-rays and medication so we can find out what's causing this to our Bo and know what to do next to help him. We don't want to give up on him.
